As previously posted, I picked up a Mac Pro 1,1 super cheap on craigslist. So far I have ordered two x5355's for $50 each on Ebay (waiting for them to arrive), picked up 8GB of RAM (4 x 2GB for less than $100) and slapped in a 240GB SSD. Now I need to do something about the Video Card. I don't care about the boot screens. What I care about is driving 3 1080P displays and using 1 of those displays for light gaming and the other two for work. I originally was going to go with a 6870 and keep the 7300GT in there as well, but then started reading about how to get Mountain Lion working on the Mac Pro 1,1 and it sounds like I'll have to pull the 7300GT. So here's my updated thoughts:
1. Buy a Nvidia GT 440 w/ Dual DVI for now:

This card will run my "work" monitors eventually. Right now it will be used for very light gaming.
2. Buy something like an Nvidia GTX 560 later to drive the single "gaming" display. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500225
I like the idea that the GT 440 does not require any additional power from the motherboard other than what is provided by the PCIE slot (low power and therefore should be low heat). Let me know if there are any issues with running the Fermi based Nvidia cards on the Mac Pro 1,1 (and yes I know I will have to manually update the Kexts myself)
