Mac Pro 1,1 Mavericks install problems

hi guys, after some help please.

Removed HD from MacPro, installed Mavericks on it using a USB boot install, a USB-Sata cable for the HD, and an MBPro to do the work.

replaced boot.efi, changed osinstall.mpkg

Upgraded to GT210 video card in slot 4.

Getting the boot chimes, but nothing on screen.

Do I still need to mac flash the GT210, or should it just work as an Nvidia card?

The HD starts, can hear some accessing, and then silence.

What should I check first?

*** Have removed HD, booted from it in the USB-SATA enclosure plugged in to MBPro. The drive is booting, displaying grey screen, then powering down by itself for one second, powering back up, booting in to Mavericks no problem. So, when plugged in to MBPro it must be powering down for that 1 second too, but not coming back to life - hence why I cannot hear it. Any ideas what might be causing that to happen?***

hi guys, me again

OK, some progress

using an ALT-BOOT with the monitor attached to the old 7300 card (slot 1) I am getting an option screen to boot from USB or HD.

(when I unplug the dvi from the 7300 and put in GT210 it goes black on the screen)

then, when I select USB or HD the screen goes grey and nothing happens.

at least I am getting a bit further!

so, suggestions what to do now?

Your Mac Pro does not support Mavericks. The latest OS it can install is 10.7.5 Lion.
