Hello Everyone,

I recently got a bargain on a 1st Generation Mac Pro 2.0 Intel Quad. I'm interested in upgrading the processor to the Quad 2.66. Will either of these processors on newegg suffice:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 Yorkfield 2.66GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80580Q8400 - Retail

Thank you for your time!!!

No. You can only use Xeon 5100 (dual core) and 5300 (quad core) series processors. Your Mac Pro has two dual core processors.
