Sup guys!
Always have the overlords here been helpful in the past to me, so let us see if we can do this one more time ...
Went on vacation, came back and my computer was all askew, audio interface on the ground, and my damn headphones that I left plugged in were bent completely sideway in the audio jack.
So long story short, my sound jack in the back is broken. I only get sound when I "wiggle" the jack around, and its usually only from one ear, or sounds like a reverb cave.
My questions are :
1. What would I have to do in order to replace the jack on such an old beast. And if I were to leave it, is there any negative that could come from it.
2. What is the difference from the "headphone" jack to the Line-Out, is it still of the same sound quality? Even if my Line-Out is cooked.
3. Is there actual soundcards still available for this machine if I want to replace the Jack. I'm not to keen on adding anything to the machine as its been running strong, without issue for the most part since I got it 10 years ago.
