I noticed in the "what's in the box" part on the website for the new Mac Pro that it now comes with the Magic Mouse but not the wireless keyboard. Also, the inclusion of the Wi-Fi card is finally a welcomed sight. I wonder why they are still including the wired keyboard.

Probably because they want you to pay extra for a wireless keyboard. Remember, Apple is in the business of making money...

Personally I prefer the wired keyboard and will only use the magic mouse with my MBP at rare occasions. Other than that I'm all pen tablet.

Or perhaps they expect most users of the pro machine to need the numeric pad, and not be sitting back in their armchair surfing.

Also, the wired keyboard gives you two more USB port for connecting things.

The wired keyboard is full size, that's why. The wireless keyboard is not.

The wireless keyboard with a pro workstation would be a joke. Although I guess they could swap it optionally for free like they did with the iMac.
