I kinda feel like I'm stuck here . I can't decide which desktop to get out of either the quad core Mac pro (base model) or the new iMac 27" with the Fusion Drive and the 680mx graphics card.

I like the iMac very much, but would like to have tower that is upgradable, i am aware that the hardware is around 2 years old now. So will the 2 year old hardware be able to compete with the iMac in terms of performance or am i better off getting the iMac or waiting for the next generation Mac Pro?

Thanks.

Best option hands down is to wait until the release the new Mac Pro, if they are going to release it this year.
