I have a Mac Pro 3,1 that came with a single 2.8GHx Quad Core CPU. I bought an identical CPU and installed it in the upper bay. I then put on the additional heatsink and connected the sensor cable (double checked). When the Mac boots, it recognizes the additional CPU, but fans are stuck at 100% now.

I know the PowerMac G5 systems had to do a thermal calibration when you messed with the CPUs, but I don't recall that being necessary on the Mac Pros. I booted the Mac into the Apple Hardware Test and there does not seem to be anything in that regard.

Any advice? Thanks!!
[doublepost=1543363644][/doublepost]I want to add that the CPU is a known good CPU from another 2008 Mac Pro, as is the heatsink I used for it.
