Hello,

I want to do a last upgrade on my Mac Pro 3.1 ( 2x2.8 ).
The ram is updated to 64, in my PS workflow It can go as high as 56 - 58 for now.
I shoot medium format digital cameras.

I also have a maxed out air. ( It's newer, faster in some ways, get's stuck in more serieus PS duty ).

The Mac Pro still has the 2600XT, It can't push out 4K.
But It plays 4k on youtube more smoothly than the air.

A different story is a serious 4k blueray.

Could the GTX play 4k fluently?

( I read something about OS X and GTX drivers that limit the card to 30hz ( mavericks ),
don't know if it's true, if so, can an Nvidea driver solve this ).

Would also adding a crucial MX 300 750 GB for OS, apps, music.
And an EVO 750 256 gig purely as a scratch disk.
To make it snappy.

Any thoughts?

Thanks :)
