Mac Pro 3,1 upgrade to Yosemite

Hello folks,

I have an old Mac Pro 3,1 currently running 10.8.5 with a Bootcamp partition running Windows 7 Pro.

I'd like to 'upgrade' to Yosemite, but I'd like to know that the Bootcamp partition will still work afterwards. Has anyone tried this or have any experience (good or bad) with this?

If you just install 10.10 as an upgrade and do not specifically erase your disk, Bootcamp should not be affected. It is, however, always advisable to have backups for when something goes wrong.
