My 5870 is officially dead and the old gt120 is very dragging, but at least I'm up and running.
I'm wanting to upgrade gpu. Which is best for archviz? I'm not using anything specific to cuda or opencl rendering (although amd pro render looks interesting), I believe I've got it narrowed down to either a gtx 1080 or rx 580, I'd love to do a vega 56 or 64 (I would live to go full on vega FE) but I'm not wanting to use an external psu or mod my current one.
Which of these is the best on the long run? I've had 9 years with this and hope for a couple more to hold off on a completely new system. Also can one run a vega 56 without an additional psu or mod?
