I’ve appeared to have damaged a pin or two on the cpu tray and my Mac Pro seems to run ok although I’ve a ram slot issue now. It only shows 28gb of ram instead of the 32gb intended. This is a 2009 westermere 12 core 3.33 upgrade to 5,1 btw.

so the question is if it’s advisable to put an 8gb stick in with the 4gb sticks that are already in there or should I be happy at 28gb of ram?

btw I did some video editing with my Mac Pro.....rendering? What rendering? lol.

this machine has just literally made mince meat out of my 2017 MacBook Pro for video editing.

cheers all.
