As the title says, the power light on my 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 is not turning on. Everything else works fine just not the power light. Does anyone have any insights? Thanks in advance.

A couple of things:
1. Replace the PRAM battery - BR2032 (don't go for the CR2032 because I'm told they discharge more quickly due to voltage issues caused by the heat).

2. Unplug the power cable - wait a minute. Plug it back in - wait 20 seconds. Try the power button again.

3. Some say this worked for them:
  1. With the power cord attached, hold the power-on button for 15 seconds - then let go.
  2. Unplug the power cord for a minute then plug it back in, wait 20 seconds and then pressing the power-on button once.
Let us know how you go.

Its just a failed power LED, if I got the TS right.

Double check plugs and cables, if the components were touched before.

Never had a failed power LED, and had dozens of MP in my hands.
