So my friend has lent me his Vega 64 for a year, I'm currently running a Mac Pro 4,1 (firmware updated 5,1) and really want to make use of HIS gpu (he said I could). He was using it with a Macbook pro with a Razor eGPU. The problem with that is the Razor eGPU works via USB-C and my Mac Pro doesn't have any USB-C ports!

I thought about putting the Vega 64 straight in my Mac Pro but the power draw is much too high for the original PSU and I don't want to burn my motherboard out etc.

So to my knowledge I have only a few options:

1) Do the Pixlas mod (https://thehouseofmoth.com/mac-pro-pixlas-mod/) - not even sure this will work for a power hungry Vega 64

2) I buy a USB-C addon to go in the PCI-e and run the Vega 64 in the Razor eGPU (not even sure this would work either tbh)

Help is much required guys - is there a way I can utilise this Vega 64?
Thanks
