Currently having issues with a client's 2009 flashed 5,1. He's got a set of 3 (2009, 2010, 2012) all running Titan Xs and have been quite happily. Upgrading to High Sierra and installing the correct web drivers, the 2009 just shows a black screen and doesn't load any Kexts for the Titan X. Will boot with Titan X, and swapping cards with another machine doesn't help. Currently on here troubleshooting with a GT120 but can't find anything wrong! Completely fresh install.

Any thoughts?

Update: tried SSD from 2010 machine which does detect Titan X and this machine is still having problems. EURGH!

I had similar problems with one 2009. After much troubleshooting without finding anything, I finally dumped the BootROM and manually reconstructed it.

Maybe it's not your problem, but it's one thing to try before replacing the backplane.

Curious - would running the Mojave updater do the same thing? Complete newbie when it comes to BootROM stuff and don't want to f**k anything up.

Edit: just realised I can't run the Mojave updater because of the GT120. FFS. Can you help with this BootROM stuff?
