Hey everyone. My Mac Pro 6,1 (2013) suddenly decided one day to no longer boot. No warning sounds, no bad smells, nothing. I plug it in and the IO leds light up when I press the power button, however the power button doesn’t illuminate and fan never starts, dead silent (see video). Only sign of life is that the other IO ports illuminate and then shut off after 15-20 seconds. I have checked my RAM, installed a new CMOS battery. What could be wrong? Bad power supply or something worse? What does it mean when the power led light button doesn’t illuminate?

Thanks everyone!

Unfortunately sounds like a bad power supply or logic board. A shot in the dark would be to try different outlet ? Maybe an issue with current outlet.

I recently had the same issue, tried a lot of the trouble-shooting steps you did and never figured it out. For what it’s worth, it did look like I could still get it in for Apple to check out and they don't charge to diagnose issues. If you have an Apple store nearby, it might be worth it for you to give that a try so you know what to replace. They have gotten so cheap now, though, that I ended up just picking another one up off Ebay instead and calling it good. I'll use my old one for parts if I need it.
