Hello.
so here it goes.
I leave my macpro rendering in fcp. (8core, 10gigs ram)
I go to energy saver, i put it in auto shut down in one hour.
I leave the place.
Next day i go to my macpro, and i see that its not shut down, but it sleeps.
So i hit space bar to wake it. It wakes up, but no image on monitors.
Monitors get no power from ati.
I havent installed the firmware update, (now i cant do it, as i got no image!) i ve tried, ctrl alt p r , but no results.

Macpro works ok, it even plays files, opens dvd tray, closes, but no image.
Is there a way to install the firmware update for ati? Should i buy the 8800 nvidia instead? Or its not an ati problem?

thanks for any help.

It's hard to tell from your post, but have you tried shutting down the computer (holding the power button till it shuts down) and restarting the computer?

Have you tried resetting the SMU http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1806 ? Shouldn't be the SMU, but you never know.

If neither of that work, it could be that your card died, if the Mac Pro is still under warranty, call Apple.
