Hey all, so here's my dilemma. I have an older 2009 Mac Pro (5,1) that has a Xeon W3670 3.2 MHz processor and a 980ti. I run boot camp for windows 10 and play games on that while maintaining the Mac OS for work applications. My monitor is a 34" at 3440x1440 with gsync.

Lately I have been thinking of upgrading. Either buy a new gaming rig, like a Ryzen 5 2600 and transfer the 980ti to that system or just buy a 1080ti for the Mac Pro.

The thing is, when I run 3dMark Time Spy, my results are 5261 and when I look at any results with a Ryzen 5 2600 running a 980ti, they are way lower, no higher than 3000. I am worried my current system/cpu is bottlenecking any higher-cpu, but going off 3Dmark scores, that doesn't seem to be the case and if anything, my old ass Mac Pro is still holding up very well.

Anyway, looking for a little insight from the gallery. Am I mad or is my system truly solid and I should just pop in a 1080ti?

Thanks!
