Mac Pro A1186 Orange Screen

Hello,

I am not a MAC guy but am trying to assist a family member. When booting it goes through the grey screen but halfway through turns orange.

Model: A1186
EMC: 2180
Serial: G88403G7XYL
Graphics: NVidia GeForce 8800 GT

From what I can surmise I think this may be a bad video card, and if so it's a relatively easy and cheap fix. Before I direct them to purchase a new card however, I wanted to run this question by the community to see if there could be anything else that may be wrong, or that I can do.

I would probably get the moderators to move this thread to the hardware -> Mac Pro section. I think you would have a much better chance of getting an answer.

I believe the numbers you specified indicate a Mac Pro 3,1 model.
