It is really up in the air as to whether there will be new displays or not.

If you get the 8800GT your order will be delayed anyway though.

I would wait til Macworld. One thing is for sure though, they won't only be dropping the price if they are doing anything, as that would have done on Tuesday. At this point it is either an update or nothing. I hope it is the former.

I am going to buy a Mac Pro within a couple of days, and have decided to wait on the Cinema Display. I was wondering: for those that bought an ACD online after the Mac Pro update, has your order shipped? I'm thinking that if they are going to release new ACDs at Macworld, they would put new orders hold and ship out the new ones after Macworld??

I ordered the new Mac Pro with two displays (20" and 30") the 8th. The 20" was shipped immediately and arrived the 9th. The 30" was shipped the 9th due to arrive the 10th. I didn't ask for expedited shipping.
