If anyone could offer us any advice on this issue, that would be great!
At our edit suite at work, we have the following setup:
Unfortunately, we can't seem to run the superwide monitor at optimal resoultion (2560x1080). The best we can do is 1920x1080 streched. When attempting at optimal, the bottom half of the screen appears to flicker on and off, and all the pixels appear blocky and grainy.
My understanding, through a bit of searching, is that there are no available Mac drivers for either the monitor or the graphics card that could require updating. I am led to believe that the error is arising because the graphics card isn't capable... but a few forums are saying (example) that the setup *should* work.
Can anyone suggest a fix? Many thanks for the help, in advance.

- Mac Pro (2012) with an ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card, OS X 10.7.4.
- 1x 24" 1920x1080 monitor, over DVI/Mini-Displayport adapter.
- 1x new 29" superwide 2560x1080 AOC Q2963Pm Monitor, over DVI only.
