Hey all,

Looking to purchase a Mac Pro within the next 2 months, (the sooner the better ideally) but I'll get to that in a moment.

I was just wondering, does anyone have any benchmarks for the current range of Mac Pro, by that I mean, the new "Early 2008 Mac Pro". Specifically, I want to know how the new Mac Pro CPUs perform in relation to each other.

To clarify: I have found several sites with benchmarks, but they either show a 3.2GHz Octo Vs. 3.2GHz Quad, or they have 2.8GHz Vs. older Mac Pro(s).

Essentially, I need to know if it's going to be worth spending the extra on the 3.2GHz with a 23" ACD, or to get a 2.8GHz with a 30" ACD.

I will be placing this in a newly build recording studio, so I'm not bothered about the age of the ACDs, for what I'm using it for then it's going to be fine.

Additionally, I can always get a second display in the future, so I'm not worried about ONLY running one.

Much appreciated.
