well first i wanna say thanks to everyone who helped me along te way... so far i really like the mac. but when ever i shut my monitor of, when i turn it bacl on i cant do anything, the screen flickers and the mouse will barely move, the screen freeses etc... anyone else have this problime?

Mac pro crashes when i shut off monitor

hmmm interesting, I have not had that problem with my MPG4 matter of fact I replaced the old DELL monitor I had with one that was supposed to be used for my G/Fs PC but it [PC] would not take it!? I thought that the PC might have died so I tried it on my MPG4 and VIOLA works like a dream!!
Have you tried a different monitor to see if that might be the problem?? If not try looking around the systems preferences under displays from here you can change the settings of your monitor. I'm not 100% sure if this will help resolve your situation but it might be a start.
