Hi,

I have a mac pro early 2008 with RAID card!

I noticed that I started to have issue with the system after the last security update

when it sleeps sometimes it never comes back!

so I have to hard restart the mac.

now it keep reboot, it shows me the gray screen then as soon as the apple logo appear it restarts

I did what was in this page
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080801060436AAjpp1g
but nothing helped

also
I face the same thing if I try to boot from a CD or a USB (with OSX on it)

I can not start any thing from any device, it just keep rebooting

any help?

I also posted my question at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2312499&tstart=0

Thank you

I would suggest removing your raid card (if possible) and see if the problem persists. It's just to start eliminating causes of this rebooting problem.
