Hi,
I am working at a computer store, and we sell macs. Nifty you might say, until something like what I'm posting about is dropped in your lap.
We have a customer that wants to buy an 8800. According to the serial number, he has an "early 2008" Mac Pro. This would be the second revision IIRC.
Now when you go to the Apple store, you are presented with two 8800s. One for the 1st Gen Mac Pro, and one for the early 2008.
The product codes for each of these cards respectively are MB560Z/A (for 1st gen) and MB137Z/A (for early 2008).
When you search MB137Z/A at our supplier's site, you are told that it has been replaced by MB560Z/A.
So what I am now trying to figure out, is will the 8800 for the first gen Mac Pro work an early 2008 Mac Pro.
Thanks,
