Hey guys, i have a seirous problem with my Mac Pro.
I have had Windows installed for a while now for playing games etc on my Mac Pro, which has all been fine.
Now however i am returning to my internet djing i do from time to time. So i set up my mixer to pump sound out of the mac pro, with other devices and my mic plugged into my mixer. From here all the sound goes out of the mixer and into the Line In Port of the Mac Pro (i hope you're following me here).
The problem is that any sound coming back into the mac pro sounds horribly distorted and compressed, however there is something barely audible coming through.
Switch back into OSX and is sounds fine, no problems with any sound going into the line in port.
But that's where the problem lies. It's not a hardware issue because it works on OSX. It's not a software issue (in Windows) because im not using any specific software to push sound through.
Persoally I'm lead to believe It's a driver issue. I spoke to apple about this and they couldn't help whatsoever and couldn't escalate the issue because (apparently) it's a windows issue.
It's not a windows issue though because the problem isnt linked to any specific software, to prove this i formatted windows last night and i still have the same issue. Microsoft on the phone agree with me, the problem does not lie within the environemnt or software that Microsoft provide. It lies within the drivers provided by Apple.
I thought i would talk to you guys before getting on the phone to customer relations and trying to get my money back. As far as i can see here apple are promosing something they cannot deliver.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
