Mac Pro + External Amp?

Is it possible to connecthing like the Scythe Amp here to the Mac Pro?

A USB sound card or a simple 1/8th to RCA cable would do the trick.

With a nice set of Klipsch bookshelf speakers and it's really nice. That amp should rock.

A simple 3.5mm jack to dual phono leads would work with that Scythe amp. I'd try to get some decent quality leads though since you'd be dealing with an analogue signal.

I've been using my Mac Pro with an amp for years now. The amp's a seven year old Sony surround sound system that used to be in the living room. I just use an optical cable to hook them up.
