I think he means the supposed incompatibility of the 8800 with the previous generation Mac Pro. However, i read in another thread that it actually IS compatible and the kit is for sale on apple's website with a 5-7 week wait.

There's an online petition (now well over 1,000 registered) of unhappy Mac Pro users who've been told that the new 8800 GT cards will run only on new Mac Pros. All previous Mac Pros, allegedly, can't run these cards. If so, IMO that's a pretty big fiasco & a lot of people are going to be seriously peeved. Future Firmware updates ought to provide a fix, but I can't confirm this.
