I need some help here folks. I was sitting at my computer today when it all of a sudden took a dump on me.

Specs:
MacPro3,1
Dual processor 2.8 Quad-Core Intel Xeon
10gb RAM

Graphics:

I already tested it on different monitors and it comes up the same on all. I took a screenshot and it looks normal.
This is what the screen looks like now:

From what research I've done, it seems like my graphics card is going out. I just thought it couldn't hurt to stop by here and ask you guys before I purchase a new one. Also, if you have any recommendations as to what card to get next I'd appreciate it. I use it for Final Cut Studio, CS5, etc.

Any help is appreciated.

Your graphics card is definitely dead/dying. You need to change it as soon as you can. I would strongly suggest the Apple ATI Radeon 5870 Graphics Upgrade Kit. Here's the link it's a great card or if you want something cheaper there's always the 5770. Both are great cards and a tremendous improvement over the ATI 2600.
