I've got a Mac Pro, 18 months old. I'm starting to notice a periodic, but relatively consistent hum (other than just regular noise). It fades in, lasts for about a minute, them fades back, about same length of time. Don't really know what to do to diagnose, I moved the box around on the table to see if it's just an out of balance vibration, thought for a second it didn't happen as much with the disc tray open, but I don't think that's it.
Wondered if anyone knows "Oh, yeah, sounds like you have a _______ going out", or something, before I pack it up and bring it to the geniuses.
