My mac pro hums ever so slightly every know and then.

Is there anything wrong with it? Or has it always done that and I'v just noticed it?

It works fine and I've never had a any problems with it

depending do you have the new 2008 macpro?
they should have dampeners on the screws and should be secure in the bay holders.

if its a inconsistent buzz it could be athe head rubbing against the platter thus proving future failure.

Or possibly a corrupted directory.
If its not taken care of, it could result in a head crash, usually Zeroing out the drive should prevent that. if you are experiencing drive issues

However if none really apply, I'd back up and get that replaced asap
