I just got my Mac Pro

and it came with the "Mac OS X Install Disc Mac Pro" 1 & 2

and I was wondering If I could use this CD on my macbook?

And I know this may be a dumb question, but what is it used for? the CD's

Install disks supplied with hardware are generally machine-specific, so the likelihood is that it wouldn't work. It's against the terms of the EULA anyhow. Those disks are supplied in case you need to re-install the software on your Mac Pro at some point in the future.

The disks are there to put the OS and "included" Apps back on the machine if you need to wipe the drive.

Along with being a source of a bootable medium that include Disk Utilities/Disk First Aid in case you need to repair the boot drive.
