I have 10 GBS of memory in my Mac Pro (brand new 2.8 dual quad), 4x2 and 2x1 (stock memory).

Will it run more efficiently with just the 4x2s in there? Or should i leave the extra 2 gigs in there?

Thx!

Check OWC they have a map layout of RAM for Mac Pro. Where it's sitting will affect speed.
