I had this problem for a long time but decided to live with it since my Mac Pro is still working but now i wanna fix it because i growing tired of it everyday. When i wanna power up my Mac Pro, i press the power button and it makes a ''click'' noise but doesn't power up. i have to wait 5 seconds and re-press the power button to finally power up... whats wrong with my computer? if you crank up the volume you can actually hear the ''click'' noise when i first press the power button

Had the very same problem with my Mid2010 MacPro (2.4GHz 8-core version).
Your PSU (Power Supply Unit) is failing. I bought an used one from eBay for $199.00, installed it and it works like a charm now.
