mac pro new vs old render times

Are there any benchmark figures out yet comparing the new MP 8 core with the old. I am interested in render times for 3D apps that recognize all 8 cores. Is a new 3 GHz going to be significantly quicker than the old one. If not, a nicely reduced price for the old models looks like it could be a good bargain.
