So here is a very strange thing I had happen recently.
I bought a new musical instrument(NI Maschine) and the installation disk makes a few weird noises and spits the disk out. I took the disk to guitar center and it played in one of there mac pros that had 10.5 on it fine. I tried the disk in one of there Imacs which had 10.6 (like me and it spit it right out just like my computer.
Now I thought that it was just the operating system and problem solved...wrong.
I installed 10.5 on a partition on my Mac Pro and no dice, it spit the disk out again.
The disk also works on windows machines.
What the hell is going on here? I have a dual layer drive, does my drive only write dual layer and not read them?
here are my mac pro specs
leopard snow 10.6.3
7 gb memory 2 2.66 ghz dual core xeon
here is the hardrive I have
