Mac Pro not recognizing firewire camera?

My Mac Pro will not recognize my Panasonic camera. I thought it was a software or firewire cable issue, but I just plugged it into my wifes MacBook and it worked right away in iMovie.

I can't get it to recognize in iMovie or Final Cut Pro. I reinstalled Quicktime, restarted, and tried both firewire plugs, front and back.

Any ideas?
