I have been working on an image for deployment of Mac Pros at work. One thing cropped up though. I have seen this here (I think) and I know I have seen it on the Apple discussion boards.

The Mac Pros do not restart or shutdown. You select it, and it hangs there. I haven't let them sit long enough to see if they will eventually. But it definitely doesn't do it in a normal amount of time < 2 minutes.

Does anyone else have this problem? I blew everything out of the login items. The startup is fresh as well. Even when I leave it at the login screen and click restart/shutdown and it does the same thing.

Here are the apps installed (all updates for OS X and apps installed):
Office 2004
CS3 Design Premium
Quark 7.0.2
Portfolio 8
Font Doctor
Suitcase
Virex

I think thats it. Fortunately I have a base image with our standard apps and config (office, virex) so I am going to dump that one back on and see if the problem is there. Which would lead me to believe that it has something to the do with the additional apps, CS3, etc.

I have repaired permissions, repaired the disk, and reset PRAM. I haven't check the log yet.

Any ideas?
