Hi i recently installed windows vista ultimate on my mac pro and When i check the temprature of the ram slots in osx is about 40C and when i check it in vista is about 70C. The whole thing is overheating in vista. I have also installed the ATI HD 4850 PC version graphics card to use on vista so now am using SMC fan control to boost fans up from mac with 7300 GT graphics card and when i restard i move the DVI to the 4850 card. But What is the highest stable RPM i could set the fans 2? because i don't want to ware them out and then don't have any cooling anymore.
But my main point is their a way i could keep it cool without having to boot in to osx every time. Its 1st generation mac pro btw
