Hi, is 2k to much to pay for this system ? its 6 months old and has 6 months left on apple care. thanks I'm thinking of buying a mac but I'm not sure about the price or which one to buy, also considering a Imac. 1x 2.8GHz quad-core Intel "Harpertown" Xeon
* 6GB RAM (800MHz DDR2, buffered ECC) -- 2x 1GB DIMMs, 2x 2GB DIMMs
* 500GB HD (7200 RPM SATA)
* NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB (with two dual-link DVI ports)
* SuperDrive
* AirPort Extreme 802.11n
* Bluetooth
* Apple keyboard and "Mighty Mouse

thats a pretty good deal, and you could also buy apple care and extend the warranty.
you're saving around $400 or so.

For $2K, sounds pretty good. It's a pretty nice spec too, and you can obviously upgrade almost everything but the CPU (you can probably do that too with some skills)

I'd do it if I were in your shoes.

A refurbished single quad core costs the same from Apple. So you're getting 4GB of memory, 500GB (over stock 320GB), 8800GT and the airport extra. Buy yourself some Applecare via eBay and you're all set.
