I am about to place an order on a Mac Pro.
Need to know if there is a big difference between the Two 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon and the Two 3.0GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon to justify an 800$ price difference?

Is this for tax reasons before the end of the year? If not, wait until Nehalem. The difference between Gainestown and the current processors is worth the monetary difference.

To answer your question, no, it's not worth it.
