My Mac Pro came with a damaged front, so now I mailed it back. It took 18 days for the reseller to get in last time, and another 3 days to ship it. This when the shipping time from apple store was 5-10days for a Mac Pro Quad 2. As the shipping days are still the same for the same machine, it will probably mean at least another 21 days before I get my new one. Which means 42 days wait for my computer. Can I "demand" the Octo 2.8Ghz (They have them in) or do I have to live with this crap?

Well you can express your extreme frustration, but in the end you are likely stuck to deal with it. Who knows, maybe it would be worth a shot.

You didn't pay for a Octo 2.8 you won't get one. Sorry that your wish won't come true :(

I don't think demanding the 2.8 will achieve the desired result. You should certainly express your disappointment and ask if some sort of compensation would be possible. If they ask what you think is fair, then suggest the 2.8 .. ;)
