Mac Pro Upgradability?

I was originally planning on buying an iMac to do my graphic design / web developing.

however after some research I like the extra power of the power mac. The main attraction is though, is it looks you can upgrade it?

I was considering buying one, and then putting in 3rd party ram and hard-drives. And then in the future dropping in new processors?

anyone know if the Mac Pro is upgradable overtime or am I stuck with whatever the original configuration is?
