My old Pioneer ide drive broke, so I got a Sony Optiarc AD-7201S sata optical drive. Plugged it into the hidden sata ports on the mobo, but when I turn the mac pro on, it's stuck on the white screen. Pressing the option key at startup gives me a blank gray screen with no drives to boot from. I am using mac pro 1,1 with snow leopard and when I disconnect the optical drive, it boots up perfectly. Any help?
