Mac Pro won't wake from sleep correctly using remote app

Hey,

My '09 Mac Pro just developed a strange problem.
When waking from sleep USING THE REMOTE APP on my iphone, the screens remain dark even though the fans stay on on the desktop. I need to do a hard reset and restart.

When waking from sleep normally, using the keyboard for example, it is just fine.

what do i do?
