Hi guys,
I Just bought new Roland GX-300 plotter, and realized (a little too late I guess) that there is not much Mac support for it... They gave me a very primitive plug-in for Adobe Illustrator, and that's it. Anyone knows of any Mac software for this thing? May be it's just too early (the beast was released this June) and I need to chill for a month or two until software people will catch up? I would really appreciate your help.
SignCutX2 - www.sc-x2.com. They are from Sweden. You'll have to create in Corel or Illustrator and then open in SignCut. They have web-mail support which I've used and the program is very inexpensive. Not much explanation/documentation so it takes some study to figure it out. Launch and hit F1 to get to help - then read or print out the manual to get to know it.
I just found another company - www.scanvecamiable.com. This looks like seriously robust and expensive software. Seems they sell through distributors - no prices listed on the website.
I could not get Illustrator to load the CutStudio plugin. Is it worth buying a new version of Illustrator to use the plugin?
I'll upload tomorrow a new version of NCS MagiSign, our plug-in for Adobe Illustrator 10, CS and CS2. It now includes the GX parameters. Some features will be added later like the registration tool management, but as far as the tomorrow version works on the NCS engine directly as a palette inside Adobe Illustrator (no export to an other app), it would cut any selected path on your cutter.
I keep myself at your disposal for any further info
