Any way to buy a refurbished Mac (probably a Mini) and get Apple to put full RAM onboard?

I realize there are other options; I've owned Macs since the 512KE.

I'm tired of having to immediately discard Apple's minimal RAM to upgrade to fill the RAM. And with my Pismo, I kept Apple's original RAM and added more ---three years of AppleCare hell. It quit crashing once I discarded that original Apple memory, after being told by Apple that they couldn't find a problem over and over.

So far all I've seen in refurbs is minimal memory. Does Apple ever sell refurbs with full RAM installed? Anyone else sell refurbs with enough memory?

I know I can order new at full price. But honestly I'd rather buy a refurb in hopes it's already been looked at more carefully than the new ones for troubles.
