I'm selling a Mac of mine and I'm wondering if I need to contact Apple and change the details with them to the new owners? The first time you boot a Mac and enter your name, address etc. Does that register the computer under your name or not? I.E If I ring Apple up tomorrow will they be able to tell me every Mac I've owned? Or does it not work like that?

Thanks.

Well it will say your name and information when the new owner takes the computer in for repair. If you don't want to leave your information on there, you'd have to call Apple Support and have them change the information attached to the computer (via the S/N).
