hi

I am new to the mac from the pc, still doing a lot of reading and playing with it, a question i cannot seem to find an answer to is, if i need to reset my mac to say factory settings (god forbid) the instructions all say insert the installation disc that came with your mac, I didn't get one, so my question is, is this a mistake or have i misunderstood somewhere

My computer (Mini I purchase earlier this year) came with a system software 'boot' DVD. Are you SURE you didn't have one?

Depending on what Mac you have, you have got also two restore DVDs that came with a small white or black paper box, which also contains a small manual and startup guide.

Also have a look here for getting to know Mac OS X a little bit better.
