Mac runs hot since lion

My Macpro rus very hot since updating to lion osx. Any reason for this and is there anything i can do to make it run cool again?

Mine too! I read that it needs time to index everything but its been way too long to be indexing. Plus its sporadic. Its nice and cool and silent now but soon it will be roaring and scorching hot.

Odd, my MBP has clean install Lion (from DVD) and its running just as cool as it was in SL.

Maybe you need to reset the SMC?

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it. So far so good. My baby booted up noticeably faster. No roars or freezes yet! Fingers crossed.
