MAC Safari w/Speedtest.net

Do you guys check your speed with speedtest.net? Using Safari, I get 136Mbps down and 900+ up on a fiber connection. I get normal results using a site like dslreports.com.

Firefox on the other hand will show 900+ down and up on speedtest. I assume it is something to do with Safari and the sites method of testing but asking to see if anyone has any ideas. A windows pc on speedtest is showing full speed.

Not a big deal, just curious if anyone else sees it too.

Not for me, that is the one I use because I do not have flash installed and dont plan to. No matter which location I select, I see 136 down and 900+ up. It only happens with Safari.

No issue for me. I get 200 down and 100 up on a fibre connection and no glitches or false reports.

Interesting, thanks for the reply. Cant imagine what it might be here. Not a big deal but curious.

If I use the speedtest app I get full speed both ways.

I've had issues with speedtest.net with the lastest Technology build and 11B1. I'm Flashless.

The HTML5 sites that work fine with both builds are Xfinity's (http://speedtest.xfinity.com) and DSL Reports' (http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?httpsok=1). My go-to is the latter so I can check bufferbloat.

Those work well for me as well along with the Speedtest app. Beta 1 was not working at all with dslreports but does work with beta 2.
